Welcome to the Mission Impossible? Cause
As of 2005, British charities were receiving £32 billion a year. Since then, this number has gone up and down depending on the economic state of the country. Regardless, it has continually out shone the budget of the Army, Navy, and RAF combined. It is also bigger than an annual United Nations budget.
With that much money and support being donated to a cause, surely we could change the world, surely with that much behind it we could ensure a better life for everyone. That is our view here at Mission Impossible? anyway. It is our goal, not only to raise awareness and support of charities all over the world, but also ask the hard questions. Is the money being spent in the correct ways? Are the people who are controlling the charities in too high a position of power? Is it too easy to register as a charity in this country? And should donating to charity introduce higher tax cuts for businesses as it does for our neighbors to the west?
